(Fadl). Benevolence and bounty and gift. The cosmos itself, which is the very manifestation of engendered existence, derives from Allah's benevolence and bounty. It is a gratuitous gift of His Infinite Mercy (Rahma).
(Miskin). Poor and utterly and totally bereft. This miskin is the slave who is at the absolute extremity of need of Allah. He has been stripped of everything and exists purely to manifest the All-Comprehensive Name 'Allah'.

(Mujhulun-nat). That which is beyond description. The Essence Itself.
(Fass). A bezel or the setting for a gemstone. Within the higher teaching, Al Fass refers to an individual Prophet of Allah, each one being the unique setting for his own specific gemstone, or Wisdom.
(Rabit). An interconnection or an essential binding or the establishment of a tie. The cosmos is firmly rooted through its connection and tie with Allah.
(Taqid/Taqayyad). To be bound, shackled, restricted, curbed, limited or confined. Taqayyad is also to be recorded, written down, noted.
(Hajarat al Aswad). The Black Stone is an indication to the human essence. The darkness of the Black Stone is the corruption of the spiritual self by the earthly nature.
(Lai'm). This is a shaytanic force which attempts to lure the soul away from Divine contemplation. La'im is referred to in Arabic mystical poetry.
